BIO
Mena Sachdev (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. A key figure in the queer underground music scene in NYC, they began their music career as a DJ and organizer, often collaborating with local collectives like Yellow Jackets and Yalla. Finding influences like Arthur Russell and Cocteau twins and led to their new solo art pop project Blue Mena and the making of their debut album. Centered around vocals and guitar, their music explores the beauty and uncertainty of being nonbinary in your 20s.
