A cover of Broadcast's Tears in the Typing Pool, one of my favorite songs ever, originally performed live in nyc in 2019 and 2020.
Mena Sachdev (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. A key figure in the underground music scene in NYC, they began their music career as a DJ and organizer, often collaborating with local collectives like Yellow Jackets and Yalla. Finding influences like Arthur Russell and Cocteau Twins led to their new solo art pop/dream pop project, Blue Mena, and the making of their debut album, Multi Adolescence. Centered around vocals and guitar, their music explores the beauty and uncertainty of being nonbinary in your 20s.
